Mark Zuckerberg Facebook Page Hacked By Nerds Seeking Social Justice
In a story seemingly ripped straight from The Onion, Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook fan page seems to have been hacked this week by some ambitious nerds.
Socially conscious ones, too. The hacker(s) posted a message calling on the company to utilize its phenomenal success and transform into a “social business.”
The message, seemingly posted by founder Zuckerberg, was quickly removed, but not quickly enough to go by unnoticed, earning 1,800-plus “Likes.”
ZUCK ON THIS: Even billionaires get hacked sometimes.
The message posted on the page read as such:
“Let the hacking begin: If Facebook needs money, instead of going to the banks, why doesn’t Facebook let its users invest in Facebook in a social way?"
"Why not transform Facebook into a ‘social business’ the way Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus described it? [LINK] What do you think? #hackercup2011″
No word if tickets for the '11 Hacker Cup are on sale yet, or if any attendee has ever talked to a woman without entering a major credit card number.
Anyway, nice work guys. Facebook made no statement about the incident, but if Mark’s page was indeed hacked, should we worry? If the Facebook CEO and Time Person of the Year can’t keep his account secure, who can?

Justin Bieber's Next Album To Capture Justin Timberlake's Magic
Songwriter Sean Garrett says former 'NSYNC star's success inspires Bieber's new project and also dishes on Beyoncé's album.

Justin Bieber may have declined the chance to join Justin Timberlake's label, but according to a songwriter in the know, the former 'NSYNC crooner is the inspiration for the teen sensation's upcoming album.
Songwriter Sean "The Pen "Garrett, who has been working with Bieber on the follow-up to the chart-ruling My World 2.0., spoke with Billboard about the direction for the teen superstar's forthcoming album, saying the project will feature more grown-up fare.
"What we're trying to do with Justin is to segue him into young adulthood," Garrett said of the project, which is also slated to feature production from hitmaker Christopher "Tricky" Stewart. "The one great thing about Justin Bieber is the fact that his fans are going to grow with him. So we want all the fans that started out with him to still be intrigued and excited about him, but we want to also stretch out a little bit and make the fans that are 22-23 years old love Justin as well. When Justin Timberlake went from the last album of *N Sync to his first solo album -- I want to say [we're aiming for] that level. That's the bar for the type of song, that level of 'Cry Me a River,' big records."
Garrett, who has crafted records for stars like Chris Brown and Bieber's mentor Usher, also said he's hard at work on Beyoncé's next project. However, the songwriter didn't divulge too much information, only revealing that he's "been working with her extremely hard ... she's my favorite."
While Garrett said the plan for his next outing is to angle Bieber toward a swiftly maturing audience, Bieber himself has refused to categorize his music, insisting to MTV News in December that he's just focused on creating quality records.
"Whatever comes out of my mouth is just what you guys are going to hear," Bieber explained of his hits. "I don't know, it's not a specific type of music. Whatever music I write, I wouldn't say I'm pop or R&B or country or anything: I would just say it's just good music,"
What do you think Justin Bieber's new music is going to sound like? Let us know in the comments!

Beyonce To Star In Clint Eastwood's 'A Star Is Born' Remake
Movie will be directed and produced by the Oscar winner.

Beyoncé Knowles is headed back to the big screen and into the familiar territory of playing an aspiring singer-turned-superstar. According to Deadline, Knowles will star in a remake of "A Star Is Born," to be directed and produced by Oscar winner Clint Eastwood for Warner Bros.
The remake will be the fourth telling of the "A Star Is Born" tale, the most memorable in recent years being the 1976 version with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson as star-crossed lovers of sorts. It is also worth mentioning that the producers of that film, Billy Gerber and Jon Peters, are also attached to this new project. It is said to be a full-on musical with production set to begin sometime in the fall.
Naturally, the plot details are under wraps, but the original story revolves around an aspiring singer who meets and falls in love with a troubled, failing former star who helps get the young ingénue her big break in the business.
No announcements have been made with regard to the male lead, but the report mentioned that major names like Will Smith, Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Hamm have been floated around.
It's definitely an interesting step for Knowles but not necessarily a surprise, given the fact that the majority of her film roles have been as singers ("Cadillac Records," "Dreamgirls," "The Fighting Temptations"). While many thought "Dreamgirls" would bring awards recognition for Beyoncé, Jennifer Hudson's supporting role ended up garnering the most attention. With Oscar fave Eastwood at the helm of this new project, Knowles could be in line for some hardware yet.

Beyonce Jokes She's Been Pregnant With Concert Special
'I was pregnant with this DVD,' she laughs to MTV News as 'I Am ... World Tour' is set to air Thanksgiving Day on ABC.
By Jocelyn Vena
Beyoncé never really seems to slow down, so when the time came to choose a director for her concert special DVD "I Am ... World Tour," the singer decided to take on those duties too. It's an accomplishment the singer jokes may have sparked those pregnancy rumors.
"I was pregnant with this DVD, yes!" she joked to MTV News.
The DVD hits stores on November 30, but fans can catch the 90-minute "I Am ... World Tour" TV special when it airs on ABC Thanksgiving night at 9:30 p.m. ET. Beyoncé opened up about what it was like to sit in the director's chair.
"Well, I've done some co-directing for music videos [but] this was definitely a big step for me, and I'm so thrilled," she said at the New York City screening for the flick.
Beyoncé said she was completely hands-on, deciding which moments made the final cut and which ones wound up on the cutting-room floor. "It was hard work," she said. "I learned so much. I have a new respect for directors and I think I would like to do more of it."
Her parents, Mathew and Tina Knowles, who also attended the screening over the weekend, said the film gives B the recognition she deserves after years of collaborating on many of her own videos.
"I'm really excited about this because Beyoncé has been making little short films and really helping to direct her videos," Tina told us. "So it's nice that she'll get credit for doing something that she really loves doing and that she's very talented at."
Dad Mathew recalled all of the effort his superstar daughter put into the special. "I'm so proud," he said. "I had an opportunity [to see the film], I've been to Houston with a screening; I've been to Bentonville, [Arkansas], with a screening, and to see the excitement from the audience, what an incredible job Beyoncé did as a director in the editing, I'm just so proud. Hopefully, all the fans go out and get the DVD and soundtrack and look at that ABC special coming on Thanksgiving."

Beyonce's Mom Says Daughter's Style Has Always Been 'Edgy'
'It's just a result of her constantly evolving,' Tina Knowles says of the fashion in Beyonce's "I Am ... World Tour" DVD concert special.
By Jocelyn Vena

Beyoncé has never been shy about hitting the stage in stunning costumes. Her appearance has always been a mixture of showgirl sparkle and pop star razzle-dazzle. And her style is on full display in her new DVD concert special, "I Am ... World Tour."
Her mom and stylist, Tina Knowles, said that while the looks may seem a bit edgier than what fans have seen from the singer in the past, she thinks that her superstar daughter has always been ahead of the style curve.
"Well, the wonderful Thierry Mugler designed the costumes, and I actually worked on some of the dancers and the band, and it was just amazing to work with him because he is so creative," Knowles told MTV News at a New York screening of the special. "So it's just a result of her constantly evolving, but she's been edgy. It's funny for people to say she went more edgy, but she's been wearing body suits and that type of thing."
And while Knowles may act as her daughter's stylist and costume designer, she says that Bey's style decisions are all her own. "Well, we discussed her working with Thierry Mugler, and I'm the biggest fan. And so she had seen some of the fashions and she loved it," she said. "So we always discuss things, but it's her decision, it's her career."
Beyoncé, who also directed the concert special , said it gave her a better understanding of the filmmaking process. "It was hard work," she said. "I learned so much. I have a new respect for directors and I think I would like to do more of it. ... Well, I've done some co-directing for music videos [but] this was definitely a big step for me, and I'm so thrilled."

Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds: It's Over!
Tabloids like Life & Style fabricate celebrity gossip all the time, but rarely are their cover stories directly contradicted by the stars' own comments days earlier.
Such is the case here. At Sunday's Golden Globe Awards, Sandra Bullock addressed the rumors that she is dating Ryan Reynolds - a friend, but not her lovah.
Conveniently, L&S took the opportunity to announce the breakup of this non-couple today. Guess all good fake relationships must come to an end ...
IT'S OVER! This breakup must have been SO hard on them.
To its credit (we guess), Life & Style "sources" are only quoted making vague and universally applicable statements such as "They like each other, but while there is a spark, it's not happening now. It can't. They're done."
That about clears it up then. Until the next secret getaway ...

Beyonce Says She Takes Pregnancy Rumors In Stride
'I just hope that one day, when I decide to be pregnant that people are happy for me,' superstar jokes about year-round bump-watch.
By Jocelyn Vena
In 2010 alone, Beyoncé was pregnant at least twice, if you believe the rumors.
While the singer shot down the talk both times, she says that at this point she's pretty much to used to people speculating about potential baby bumps. "I mean, it's a part of it. At this point they said I've been pregnant like eight times, so I'm kind of used to it," Beyoncé told MTV News at a screening for her concert DVD, "I Am ... World Tour," in New York City.
"I just hope that one day, when I decide to be pregnant that people are happy for me, 'cause I'm like gosh, like, everyone's like, 'Oh god, please! She's been pregnant 100 times.' One day, hopefully, I will be. So whatever; it's a part of being a celebrity, I guess."
Her mom, Tina Knowles, was also at the screening and when asked if she thought that 2011 might be the year we give up gossiping about Bey's pregnancy status, she played it cool. "You have to ask her those personal things," she said. "I don't know!"
But Tina was also the lady to shoot down the baby-bump rumors last month when she sat down with talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres.
"I heard that, but I'm here to clear the rumors up. The truth is it's not Beyoncé that's pregnant, it's me," she joked. "No, it's not true. Not right now. I'm looking forward to it. With all the rumors, by now I should have about five or six grandchildren."
What do you think of the constant speculation about Bey and a baby bump? Tell us in the comments!

Kristen Stewart Wants To Set Up Charity For Sex Workers
KStew tells Vogue how her Welcome to the Rileys role inspired idea.

Kristen Stewart has said on several occasions that her role as a runaway prostitute in "Welcome to the Rileys" was the most personally affecting of her career. "If you do a movie, especially this one — it's not the easiest thing subject-matter-wise — it stuck with me," she told MTV News in October.
The film continues to stick with her, so much so that she hopes one day to take her vast earnings and set up a charitable organization to aid women in a similar situation to her character.
According to an interview in Vogue, the 20-year-old actress is assembling a plan to establish a network of halfway houses to support runaways who wind up in the sex trade. "That would be amazing," she said. "Right now, it's the thing I feel most connected to."
At the moment, though, she's fully consumed with filming the two parts of "Breaking Dawn" in Baton Rouge. "It's starting to enter my head a lot more than it used to because it's at the end, and it's come such a long way. I just want the fans of the book to be happy. I don't necessarily care about anyone else."
Returning to the "Twilight" franchise after filming the low-budget adaptation of "On the Road" was an experience she likened to "going back to school" — except she's hardly an average schoolgirl. As she has discussed time and time again, Stewart continues to be affected by the isolating aspects of worldwide superstardom.
"There's no way to eloquently put this," the 20-year-old said. "I just can't go to the mall. It bothers me that I can't be outside very often. And also to not ever be just 'some girl' again. Just being some chick at some place, that's gone."
Instead, she often stays inside, watching the Food Network and working on various recipes. "You build a perimeter of people that are really important to you," she explained.

'Skins' Premiere: Cast Tells Us What To Expect

On Monday night (January 17), the American version of "Skins" kicks off. And with expectations high, since so many viewers stateside love the U.K. version of the sexy teen soap, the cast admits the pilot, which is basically a shot-for-shot remake of the original's pilot, is really just a great tease for what's to come.
"For people who haven't seen the U.K. version, it's an introduction," said James Newman, who plays "Skins" smooth-talker Tony.
Britne Oldford, who plays Cadie on the show, explained: "The pilot is essentially ... a parallel to the original version's first episode.
There are two episodes that are parallels, and then everything else is original, so it's really ... an introduction to all the characters, and hopefully after that, everyone will keep watching."
There's plenty to watch for as complex characters deal with complex issues including substance abuse, divorce and jealousy, to name a few, but none of it is glamorized. In between the glossy party scenes, the characters deal with intense emotions and consequences.
"I think the pilot is really an introduction to the characters, the whole rich people thing, the losing your virginity thing. All those storylines are kind of just this way of getting to know all of us," said Sofia Black D'Elia, who plays Tea.
"I'm actually more excited for audiences to see what happens afterward," she continued. "It's such an intro that you don't really get a sense of what our show has become at this point now. At 10 episodes later, it's so much different."
Don't miss the premiere of "Skins" on Monday (January 17) at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

'Jersey Shore' High Five: Snooki Hides In A Bush
Also, Vinny demonstrates why he's our 'MVP' of the week.
By Jim Cantiello
Snooki on Thursday's episode of "Jersey Shore"
Photo: MTV
Ronnie and Sammi went to church this week on "Jersey Shore" "to relieve their sins." I didn't know being boring and ruining a reality TV show was a sin. But if it is, sweetheart, you're going to hell. Still, it wasn't all boring by any stretch. Here are my five favorite moments from Thursday's episode, below and in the embedded video:
5. Who the Hell Is That?!
This episode picked right up where we left off in the premiere: in a tornado of fingernails and hair extensions. As Sammi and JWoww clawed at each other, we met two new housemates. (Funny, they didn't look very Italian to me!) The burly security guards didn't stay long but they did help break up that catfight.
4. Spray It
And then it was time to go clubbing, yo! As the guys reached for the T-shirts, the girls grabbed the hairspray. "It's a good thing none of us have asthma," JWoww pointed out.
Or an ozone layer. F--- the environment!
3. MVP
While trying to fashion a giant hose in order to save a kickball for Snooki and Deena — don't ask — Vinny revealed some intimate details about his failed hookup with Snooki.
OK, seriously, between that scene, his stalker at the club, his executing a "robbery" against the Situation, and his playful conversation with JWoww about Deena's breasts, Vinny, you're our MVP of the week.
2. 'Can You Believe This Mother----er?'
So Ron cheated on girlfriend Sammi in Miami and lied about it. JWoww and Snooki tell their pal about Ron's cheating ways (in an admittedly stupid way), but she stays with him anyway. He turns Sam against all her female friends, and then when she's depressed about not having any friends because he helped destroy all those relationships, he gets angry at her for being depressed and not wanting to hang out with her estranged friends who are now her mortal enemies? Oh, NO. Can you believe this mother----er?
1. Snooki Bush
At the club, Snooki snuck off to be one with nature ... literally. "Who goes and hides in a bush?" she asked rhetorically. "Only me. I don't care. I'll pee in a bush, I'll poop in a bush, I'll hide in a bush."
Wait. Did she just take a dump in that bush?!!
Don't miss "Jersey Shore," airing Thursday nights at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.

'Green Hornet' Cheat Sheet: Everything You Need To Know
Superhero film took a winding path to the big screen, and we've been there the whole way.
By Eric Ditzian
Seth Rogen in "Green Hornet"
Photo: Sony Pictures
When did the story of the Seth Rogen-starring, Michel Gondry-directed "Green Hornet" begin? Does it go all the way back to the superhero's adventures on 1930s-era radio, or does it begin with the 1966 TV series that made Bruce Lee a star?
Perhaps instead we should begin in the early '90s with Hollywood's attempt to revive the dormant franchise. There are enough twists and turns there to form the basis of an entire master class in major-studio development hell. The title role, in its various incarnations, was reportedly at one time or another offered to everyone from George Clooney to Greg Kinnear. Directors (including Gondry in the late '90s) and screenwriters came and went. Studios traded rights to the property.
Then, in stepped Rogen and writing partner Evan Goldberg with an outline for the movie in fall 2007. More than three bump-and-bruise-filled years later, "The Green Hornet" finally hit theaters Friday (January 14). How did it get there? What do you need to know before checking out the action/comedy about a rich kid named Britt Reid who turns himself into a superhero with the help of sidekick/genius Kato? All your questions will be answered with MTV News' "Green Hornet" cheat sheet.
The Green Hornet Meets Red-Faced Fans
Initial fan reaction to the pairing of Rogen with the superhero material was not kind, and the vitriol seemed never to let up. "People just love bitching," he laughed during a July '08 interview with MTV News. "Hopefully, people will see it and say, 'Oh, yeah, they can kind of do that, maybe we'll give them an easier time.' "
Seeking to attract some action-flick cred, Rogen recruited Stephen Chow ("Kung Fu Hustle") both to direct and to star as Kato. Seeking as well to establish himself as a believable superhero, Rogen hit the gym and began to shed a lot of weight.
Then, just like that, Chow was gone as director. And Rogen was screwed. But he and Sony Pictures regrouped, signed Gondry and pushed forward with the project.
You're Perfect, Now Change
Nothing, it seemed, would come easy for "Green Hornet." In summer '09, the film's release date was pushed back from June 25 to July 9, 2010. Then Chow skipped out on playing Kato. And then Nicolas Cage, who was set to play the film's main villain, ditched the production too. The release was once again pushed back, this time to winter 2010. "Every possible obstacle came in our way at one point or another, to the point that it really just got ridiculous," Rogen told us later.
The crew again regrouped, signing Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz to play the villain, alongside Jay Chou as Kato and Cameron Diaz as Reid's assistant. Production began in fall '09.
"I tried to be very precise," Gondry told MTV News during the South by Southwest Film Festival last March. "I tried to redefine fights in my own style."
Seriously, Though, Change Again!
By spring of last year, things were getting ridiculous. Sony had decided to convert the film to 3-D and yet again pushed back the release date: January 14, 2011, it would be.
No matter! The first official image popped up online in June, followed by the trailer. The footage was funny, eye-popping stuff. Hey, maybe this thing wasn't going to be so bad after all? The second trailer, which dropped in November, backed up that initial impression. And when audiences started to check out early screenings of the film, it turned out they actually liked the movie, that it neatly balanced comedy and action, that it wasn't, as so many Web-based bloviators suggested, the worst movie in the history of the world.
"It is nice that people actually have to base their assumptions on the movie now and not just what they think the movie is going to be like," Rogen laughed.
Check out everything we've got on "The Green Hornet."

Taylor told the court that the victim told him she was 19.
Police said he had sex, for which he paid $300, with the 16-year-old whom officials said pimp Rasheed Davis had forced into prostitution.
Police later arrested Davis, who pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking. Taylor was originally charged with felony rape in the case.

Michael Douglas: "Liberace" Preparations Underway
He's proudly announced that his cancer treatment was a success, and now Michael Douglas is itching to get back to the workplace.
The 66-year-old has revealed that he's been gearing himself up for the awards show circuit while also studying for his upcoming role as Liberace in the movie "Liberace".
Talking to People magazine, Douglas dished, ?I?ve been watching a lot of tapes of him [Liberace]. He wasn?t the greatest dancer nor the greatest singer, but he was a great pianist and entertainer.?
Rejuvenated and ready for more life experiences, the "Wall Street" actor added that he's also planning to take piano lessons himself - though he has yet to decide if singing is in the cards.
?We?ll see how it goes,?Douglas tells.

Jared Lee Loughner Arrest Records, Bullying History: Revealed
On the day Barack Obama delivered a moving address at the Arizona memorial service for the victims of last week's tragic shooting in Tuscon, new information about Jared Lee Loughner was revealed.
According to police records, the 22-year old accused of killing six people and seriously wounding Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was arrested twice as a juvenile, once for marijuana possession and once for possession of alcohol.
The first incident occurred in May 2006, when Loughner was admitted to the emergency room after consuming a bottle of vodka he later said he stole from his parents because he became “very upset after his dad yelled” at him.
The second arrest took place in September 2007 following a traffic stop that resulted in cops discovering a joint in Loughner's ashtray and a pipe in his pocket.
Loughner was also the victim of bullying on more than one occasion.
In September 2004, police were called to Mountain View High School after Loughner was "stuck with a pin – a stolen type needle, in the cafeteria," according to official reports.
Finally, in October 2008, Loughner contacted local police because he believed a former friend had posted a fake, disparaging MySpace profile about him.
No action was taken, and none of this is meant as an excuse for Loughner's alleged, horrific actions. It's simply a look into the history of a seriously troubled young man.

The first slate of performers for the upcoming 53rd annual Grammy Awards were revealed Thursday morning (January 13), and the roster reads like a pop-music all-star lineup. MTV already broke the news on Wednesday that Eminem will cement one of the best professional years of his career by taking the stage on February 13 at the Staples Center, where he's also up for 10 awards. And he'll have plenty of chart-smashing company.
Among the other nominees on the list to perform are Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Cee Lo Green, Arcade Fire and Miranda Lambert. It will be the first Grammy performance ever for Lambert and Arcade Fire, while Cee Lo, Eminem, Gaga and Perry are making return engagements.
For Eminem, the performance is the latest in a line of accomplishments tied to his career-renaissance album, Recovery, which is nominated for Album of the Year. The Detroit lyricist scored a pair of #1 singles from the album with "Not Afraid" and "Love the Way You Lie," featuring Rihanna. With the most nominations for the night, he's also likely to go home with a few more awards than he did at the 2009 Grammys, when his tepidly received Relapse snagged Best Rap Album.
Eminem has already been featured in the show's promotional campaign. A touching 30-second spot showcases Em's musical legacy, from the loss of his friend Proof to his struggles through drug dependency and his rise back to the top of the hip-hop game.
Joining him in the Grammy promo campaign on Wednesday were indie upstarts Arcade Fire, who are up for three awards for their album The Suburbs. Their "Music Is Life Is Music" ad was revealed on Wednesday, showing singer Win Butler singing passionately amid a collage of images that include a casket, barn, roses, wedding rings and dripping chocolate bars.
While 11-time Grammy winner Eminem leads the pack in nominations this year, Gaga is not far behind with six nods for The Fame Monster, while Perry and Green are each up for four, and Arcade Fire and Lambert are vying for three awards.
Additional performers and presenters will be announced soon.
